The Perfect Tambourine

There is no such thing as the "perfect tambourine" - for every song it's different. That's why we've created a huge collection of different tambourines making it easy to quickly fine the "perfect" one for your song.

This sample library contains 100 samples - each completely unique:

- different tambourines: large, small, expensive, cheap, trashy, wood, plastic

- some through analog spring reverbs, plate reverbs, dry, or roomy

- some through tape machines, from 2" MCI JH-16 to a Roland Space Echo RE-201, sometimes vari-sped and pitch shifted 

- recorded in a variety of recording studios, from the analog wonderland, The Bomb Shelter, to the amazing room sound of Sound Emporium B in Nashville, TN

- recorded with a variety of microphones, from a Neumann U67 to a stereo AEA R88

We also included 60 loops - of various tempos, with different accents and patterns - all performed by drummer Jamie Dick (Rhiannon Giddens, Milk Carton Kids, Abigail Washburn) using his one of a kind tambourine - a Ron Vaughn 10" Triple Row. All loops were recorded both dry and in a large room.

This download consists of 111 full length one-shot WAV files, as well as 60 loops (WAV files) at various tempos. Also includes files for Logic (EXS24), Kontakt (NKI), and Ableton.
